Synopsis: within the year 1752, Joshua and Noemi Collins, with young son Barnabas, set sail from metropolis, European country to begin a replacement life in America. Twenty years pass and Barnabas has the planet at his feet -- or a minimum of the city of Collinsport, Maine. A witch, in each sense of the word, herb dooms him to a fate worse than death: turning him into a lamia, so burial him alive.
Two centuries later, Barnabas is unknowingly free of his place and emerges into the terribly modified world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to search out that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin. The dysfunctional remnants of the Collins family have fared very little higher, every harboring their own dark secrets. Matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard has referred to as upon live-in specialist, Dr. Julia Hoffman, to assist along with her family troubles.
Also residing within the manor is Elizabeth's do-nothing brother, Roger Collins; her rebellious immature girl Carolyn Stoddard; and Roger's precocious 10-year-old son, David Collins.
